It’s the Memorial Day Weekend. While everyone else is on a 3 or 4 day weekend, I am on a 7 day stretch of working. At least I think I am. The schedule is not out yet. I was only granted an unofficial peek to see what was in store for me the rest of the weekend. Gah. See, I just couldn’t let it go without complaining on the internets. Anyhoo, ya’ll know where I’ll be spending my day!

  2. Aww, poor thing. If it makes you feel any better I’m going to Waco, Texas with the bf to meet all his oldest, dearest friends from college so I can be scrutinized. Did I mention it’s WACO, TEXAS?!

  3. Good God, that sucks. 

    Well, if it’s any consolation, I was supposed to go to the beach this weekend with a bunch of family I haven’t seen in years, and well, my mother in law came to stay with us earlier this week and brought a nasty cold with her.  Needless to say, I’ll be spending the damn weekend in bed, unable to take any cold meds because I’m pregnant.

Yeah, I feel your pain, along with a bit of my own.  I worked a 6-day stretch in one pay period, not just 48 hours, oh, no, but closer to 52, but I won’t get the compensation for that extra 12 hours.  What I will get is Monday off, and I BETTER GET an extra 4 hours of personal time.  Hm.  12 hours over time, or a day off and 4 hours off later on?  With Ray out of work at the moment, the overtime really would have come in handy, even if I had Monday off with NO pay.

  6. Heh. The sad part is that due to the PAID holiday I am supposed to have a third day off this week.

    But no. I think I’ll see it at the end of the month??
