Pbbbt! Still sick. My lungs are tired and sore from all the coughing. I don’t get it. I’ve followed doctor’s orders with the pills, the fluids, the rest, blah, blah, blah…

Anyway. Today was a discouraging day at work. First, the place is a mess. I was hacking up my spleen whenever I attempted a deep breath. I spent much of the day hiding in corners as I coughed. Then, on the way home I noticed these lines on the windows in the car. Not the windshield, but the doors. I was troubled to find they were on the inside! Great. So I get home and try to windex them away, but they were greasy and smeary. I gave up after a while, but you know I’ll be all bent when I get in the car in the sunlight tomorrow. Crap. Nothing is on TV tonight either. Today’s just a wash I guess.

I feel homesick again today too. I don’t even have a radio station out here yet. I did have, but it’s been re-tooled into some random unpredictable crap. Nothing sucks worse than when you are rocking out to a great song, only to have it followed by Muskrat Love or some other random blast from the past you are in no mood for. Ugh. I need to start traveling with the iPod daily, till I find a new station.

I feel like I’ve been bitching here a lot lately. I need to get out and have fun! Or at least do something interesting… Something. If I could just stop coughing!

  2. They say brandy or bourbon is good, too, but I think you need rest.  Hope you get to feeling better.  I can totally relate to your homesick feelings.  But things do get better just when you’re hell bent on being miserable.  smile

  3. Not even a radio station?  That makes me sad for you.  I couldn’t live without my daily dose of my favorite DJs and the songs they play.

  4. ever use albuterol or other form of inhaler?  you might need it.  sucks, the not being able to breathe part.  and the radio part, too.  but don’t the ipod and the beetle go hand in hand?
