You ever hear of shopping therapy? Sounds nice, right? Well… not when you are trying to rebuild a whole new professional wardrobe after wearing shorts and tee shirts for the last 5 years. First of all, Richard would not let me shop alone. I thought it was because he wanted to curb my spending. I was wrong. He had me stacked up to my chin with dress shirts in minutes. All with “matching” ties. It turns out that mens fashion has changed a lot. That’s why he insisted on being there. I hadn’t noticed! I’ve been working in family casuals for way too long. I would never had thought to pick some of the things he put together. The last time I dressed up was back when Millionaire was big. It was all monochromatic shirt-tie combos with black pants. Or for me just a lot of black! I only managed to snag 1 black dress shirt this time, and no gray… I will need to shop quite a bit more now you know, to get caught up. I don’t want to over do it though. I to have lost a bit of weight from the stress I was under, and it’ll probably continue as Richard and I have days off together and get active again with roller blading, the gym, and stuff.
I am so excited about this change! I cannot even tell you. Life is good. I just have to survive the M.I.L. visit. Special thanks to Betty for agreeing to go along to the Zoo with us tomorrow… The more the merrier, right?
