I have really seen a side to the city that frightens me. We have a homeless/crazy/impossibly drunk woman (I mean, I thought I was gonna get drunk on the fumes coming off of her!) who I guess lives on the sidewalk nearby. She's around 35-40 years old, with some bad skin and no shoes. She also has a lot of sores around her mouth. Kinda funny though, she has had a decent haircut recently, and is never that dirty. I hear she's tried to steal from us before. The other day I got a call to go to the sales floor in womens immediately. The woman was threatening and chasing a seemingly innocent group of teenagers who seemed pretty frightened. We had crazy/drunk leave the building. She had been trying to explain, but was pretty incoherent. She kept talking about Oakland, and a game of some kind. I thought she may have been racist or something. Then, yesterday as I was leaving work I saw those same kids. Apparently they hang out at the BART station stairs, sitting on the surrounding wall. They were shouting obscenities at someone. I turned my head and saw the homeless/crazy/drunk woman. She was looking so pathetic, yet I could see the anger building in her eyes. The things those kids were saying were so cruel. Especially the girls. I think they were the worst. They were even throwing their trash at her.
