it's link-tastic!

So apparently I have joined in on a new online adventure. New to me anyway. Metblogs.

Ayup. I am attempting to be an author on Metblogs San Diego. Really! See? I know what you are thinking, “What? He barely posts on his own blog anymore!” And I’d have to admit you’d be right. I am absolutely bored over here. My own banter is tiresome, even to me. So I am hoping this will be something fresh and fun. One has to branch out, right?

Fear not tho, I’ll never leave you. Where else can I be completely honest and say something like this:

  1. Awesome!

I think I’m coming up on year 5 on Metblogs LA!

  2. Meh. I think I’m done there. Everytime I log in the back-end is different, and for a non-WP guy that sucks. Not to mention the lack of control (ie. no making categories even?) I feel like a glorified commenter. Plus it is not fun like I thought it’d be.

  3. As I posted on twitter in reply to your note there, we’ve only done one update in the past 2 weeks to the newest version of WP which had a UI change on the backend, this is the first time it’s changed in over a year so unless you’ve only logged in twice, it’s not changing ever time you log in. Captains can create categories so if there’s something you think is missing you can just request it and it’s done - the thing about Metblogs is it’s not your personal site, it’s a group effort and so some things have to be managed with a group in mind.
