Apparently Mount St. Helens is waking up. This seems so strange to me. I was living in Washington State when she erupted the first time. Not real close, but close enough. I was young, and don't remember much, other than that the sky looked like crashing waves. My father had put a plastic bowl out on the back porch to catch falling ash.
Seismic activity at Mount St. Helens has changed significantly during the past 24 hours and the changes make us believe that there is an increased likelihood of a hazardous event, which warrants release of this Notice of Volcanic Unrest.

  3. wow….and I was just thinking about volcanoes the other day while watching Survivor: Vanuatu…there is an active volcano there also…quite incredible when you think about it.
