I never answer the phone. I am the call screener! Just ask anyone… Today I remember why. The phone has rung (ringed?) twice and I have answered. The first call was nothing but music playing. Curious, I listened for a moment but ended up hanging up when nothing else happened. The second call was for Richard, but gave themselves away as a solicitor when she asked whether Richard’s wife was available if he was not. I was tempted to reply “this is he”...
Doh! I should have! That would’ve been hilarious!
yeah, the phone here is never answered. i don’t think anyone besides our neighbors upstairs and our landlord has our actual landline phone number.
