So we are at the Home Depot yesterday with one thing in mind. We were on a mission! A mission for paint! The house we are moving into is painted wall to wall, every room, ceiling included, yellow. It’s like a bamboo yellow. Quite nice, as white is so.. blah. However, every room including the ceiling? Anyway, we wanted to to one of the main walls in the dining/kitchen area an accent color. The decision was that we wanted red. We have a lot of those “KitchenAid red” accents. Red with a faux effect to it. So we looked at paint chips, tools, and talked to the experts. We decided maybe not red… We looked at other colors. A lot of other colors.
Hours passed.
We decided not to paint.
What about a terra cotta color instead of red? Or a chocolate color?! I love painting and picking out paints. It’s so much fun!

Posted by musikchyck on 09/28 at 01:04 AMI love a red room. I had a red dining room with white crown molding and it was gorgeous, let me tell you. Maybe no serious red, but a more crimsony color. I say go for it.
Although a Tiffany blue room would be lovely, too.
