So at work it was decided that all the managers and supervisors were doing the “Secret Santa” thing. All fine and good except that it is for 5 days with a five dollar limit each day. Who the hell added that rule? I was all for it, until that rule. Now I have to come up with something each day?

Of course I drew the name of the overnight supervisor that I never see and barely know! So I broke all the rules and asked for help. I decided to get him weird random crap like candy and holiday candles till the last day and then do the main gift of a movie theater gift-card. So here it is day two (or three?) and I ran into him as he started his day (night?). He asked if I was his Secret Santa. He knows.

Does this mean that I can skip the crap till the last day?

  1. You’d think so, wouldn’t you? Cos I’d assume that he now knows your whole gift-giving strategy.  More to the point though, did he seem pissed off at the weird random crap before getting the main gift?

  2. No, I’m afraid you don’t get out of it.  And I think the movie gift card is a great idea!
