So as I have mentioned before, Richard’s mother is coming to town (for nine days…). He has taken the week off to entertain her. You know, the trip to the zoo, La Jolla, Coronado Island, all the usual stuff with a lot of shopping in between. However, the hard part has been her request to “go out”...
She wants to be able to “go out” on her own a couple nights to “meet people her own age”. Huh? Well how to we figure that out? A search of adult night clubs San Diego turned up all the pole dancing-naughty nudies spots in town. Not much luck with mature night clubs either. So on a suggestion from a freind he took out an ad on Craig’s List. The original wording of the ad led to some, er.. interesting, yet less than desirable responses. So we added the “not looking to set up a booty call, just suggestions of places she can enjoy safely on her own”. You can view it It’s been removed. Apparently over night the readers of the Craig’s List decided it was posted under the wrong category. It must have been the guy who replied looking for a “double bj”. He seemed like an angry fellow. (I have to admit though, there were at least three non-perverted helpful responses.)
I still say stick with my plan and call hotel concierges. They know things. And there’s always the Moose Lodge.
